Who has Been Nominated? * final list!

Written by Sprittibee on March 31, 2007 – 5:14 pm -

I have had numerous requests to see the nominations. I don’t see why that shouldn’t be allowed. I am entering them into a spreadsheet to hand over to Laura so she can get them ready for voting next Friday.

Please remember that although a few of the blogs listed have been nominated more than once, I only count one nomination per blog per category. That means that a few of your nominations “haven’t counted” because the person/blog had already been nominated in that category. This is precisely why I believe that showing you WHO has been nominated would be beneficial. This way, those of you who haven’t voted yet can see WHO is in the categories FIRST - before they “use up” their nominations. The only thing about this type of list is that it isn’t going to stay current long. Please remember that nominations are happening behind the scenes all day long, so this list is growing by the hour. I’ll do my best to keep this post updated… but I can’t promise that it will stay that way.

*If you see any duplicates, let me know! You may only be nominated ONCE per CATEGORY!*

30 Comments to “Who has Been Nominated? * final list!”

  1. Daryl Cobranchi Says:

Thanks for the mention. But homemaking and recipes?

  2. Sprittibee Says:

Thanks for the comment, Daryl. It must have been a typo that landed you in the column next door! ;) I got a good belly laugh out of it, though! LOL

  3. Daryl Cobranchi Says:

Well, maybe someone really likes pizza.

  4. Frodo Says:

I believe that homeschoolblogger.com/Ringbearer should be in the Best Teen Blog category, not Thrifty Homeschooler category.

There are also a couple duplicates in the Teen category.

    Thanks

  5. Sprittibee Says:

Thanks Frodo. ;) I made the changes in the teens and put Ringbearer in the Teens as well. I appreciate your sharp eye. :)

  6. Dawn Says:

    Hi there!

I wanted to let you know I see my blog nominated twice in the Crafts/Projects and Super Homeschooler categories.

Thanks so much for all your hard work! I’m honored to be nominated. :)

  7. Pass the Torch Says:

What a fantastic list! I’m so honored to be nominated amidst such excellent bloggers.

I’m still preparing my nomination list — but I see several on my list have already been nominated! I’ll be sure to make my final changes and send it to you this week.

    Great work!

  8. Pam Says:

I may be totally missing it - but how do I nominate a blog?

  9. Javamom Says:

    In the best cyber-buddy catalogue:

    http://www.homeschoolingmomof5boys.blogspot.com
is listed twice…one with a slash at the end, and one without.

    Cheers!

    Javamom

  10. Javamom Says:

Sorry about the typo. That should be “category” instead of catalogue. I’ll be back with some nominations soon.

    Ciao for now,

    Javamom

  11. Barb-Harmony Art Mom Says:

My blog was nominated for Best Geographical blog for China. I am *not* in China so I have no idea how it was nominated for that category. You probably just want to delete it out since I’m in California. :) It’s great to be nominated for something!

    Barb
    Harmony Art Mom

  12. Alice Gunther Says:

Would you mind checking the web address for “atypicallife.net” in the Mom blog category? I would like to visit, but this address doesn’t work.

    Many thanks!

  13. Derek Says:

“deskfullofclutter.blogspot.com” shows up twice under the homeschooling dads category…

  14. Deedee Says:

I just saw that http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/harmonyartmom was listed under international as being in China! I’m sorry that might be my fault in putting in the nominations! I posted someone for China (who is listed correctly) but I listed Harmony art mom for artistic content - she doesn’t live in China!! :-)

  15. PlainJane Says:

Hi! Thanks for all you do!!!
Out of fairness, I’m afraid I should withdraw my name from the nominees. I have been nominated for “Blog Design” & “Artistic Content Blog” by someone, but this is the 2006 contest, and I didn’t start blogging until 1/7/07.

  16. Sprittibee Says:

PAM: Click on the nomination link on the front page of this blog. Then you fill out the box as prompted. Walla! Nomination made.

Everyone Else… Thanks for your tips and corrections. I have tried to fix them as best I can. I have a friend helping me to clean up the links and make sure everyone is legal… and hopefully on the next update to this post (which is OVERDUE), I’ll have clickable links!

Hang in there and be patient a little while longer! Thanks for helping me get things straight.

Plain Jane - Hope to see you on next year’s nomination list! Don’t worry - it is only a few months down the road in December!

  17. Kris Says:

WOW! How nice to be nominated again - thanks to whomever did that. I see http://www.traininghearts.com TWICE in Best Encourager - just thought I’d let you know.

  18. Kris Says:

I see http://www.kellishouse.blogspot.com TWICE under Best Homemaking.

  19. KimC Says:

In the category Best Homeschool Mom Blog - it looks like I’ve been nominated but the link is wrong. Should be http://inashoe.blogspot.com, rather than lifeinashoe.blogspot.com. That one takes you to a blog with just one post from 2003, so I don’t think I’m presuming too much to think that my blog was intended there.
And thanks to whoever thought of me. I needed a little boost after 2 poop incidents in one morning. :P

  20. Cay Says:

I’m speechless. My blog got nominated for Best Nitty-Gritty Blog and I can’t believe how excited it makes me feel.

I am thrilled to be nominated. : ) The lists are great!

  21. Denise Says:

Love the lists, can’t wait to check out some new blogs and I’m honored to be nomintaed! What a surprise!

I did want to point out that FrogAndToadAreStillFriends in the funniest homeschool blog category - is not a homeschooler.

  22. Dawn Says:

Hi again! Just wanted to let you know my blog is down twice in the crafts category (By Sun and Candlelight). Thanks again for all your hard work here. Everything looks terrific! :)

  23. Mary Says:

    Funniest HS Blog….www.homeschoolblogger.com/wardssward

    Best Geographical Blog…..http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/Sweetie/ (Canada)

  24. Mary Beth Foss Says:

I think my brother > got nominated for Best Homeschool Mom Blog instead of my mom. >

My brother is definitely not a mom, but my mom’s blog is the best:-)

  25. Mary Beth Foss Says:

My brother’s blog is Van Goal. My mother’s is Real Learning. I don’t know why my links didn’t work in the comment.

  26. Josh Says:

Doug’s Blog is listed twice, in Best Homeschool Dad Blog and Best Homeschool Curriculum/Business Blog.

  27. 125vd4sghg Says:

excuse me. i became from Luxemburg and i need help.

  28. Jenny Says:

Thank you to who nominated me but was there a mistake? I see me listed under best homeschool dad and I’m certain as a mommy I don’t belong there:)

  29. Jo Says:

Oh wow! I had no clue I had been nominated at all! Whoever nominated me is gonna make me cry. That is so sweet!

Thank you to whoever nominated me. I guess I better hurry up and get our tomato experiment pictures up so I can keepup with all those great blogs. ;)
Thank you for listing the links to the blogs because I’ve never heard of some of those and it will be nice to get to explore.

  30. Natalija Says:

I just found out that I have been nominated for several categories. I am so honored! But I want to be honest and ask whether homeschooling is a prerequisite for being nominated. Because as much as I would love to homeschool my children, that hasn’t been legally possible yet in our country. So, our children attend the state school - the only legal option. If this is a problem, I ask you to remove my blog from the nominations =(. If not, I am very happy to stay on the list! I thank those who have nominated me either way. God bless you.
