Tuesday Tour
Written by Rhonda on October 23, 2007 – 6:10 am -Ocean Animal videos - We are using Apologia Elementary Zoology 2 this year and I have found this to be a great web-site for short video clips of ocean animals. I was looking for examples of different whale moves - lobtailing, logging, spyhopping, and breaching. This site was just perfect.
Hymn Stories - We are using this with our hymn study this year. It contains background information on a lot of different hymns. More are being added all the time.
Watercolor Painting Lessons - If you’re as inept as I am, you will love the beginner lessons. If you are more accomplished, I am sure you will find something there for yourself, as well.
Free Old-Time Radio Shows - You can sign up to receive a weekly email with a link to a free radio show from the past.
Tetris-like USA puzzle game - This is a fun addition to our US geography study.
Paper Soldiers for Boys - We aren’t actually using this yet, but I just think it is too neat not to mention. They even have simulations of different battles that can be played with the soldiers. The battle games are geared towards 6th-8th grade students, but the soldiers themselves could be used with younger ages.
Story Nory - free audio books - You can download them directly to your computer or subscribe via iTunes.
I hope you found something useful to you in your homeschool.
