Tuesday Tour… Lots of Neat Stuff…

Written by Sprittibee on July 1, 2008 – 2:09 pm -

First I have some news about a contest that we as a homeschool community have been invited to. Please read below as I give the post over to Donna (author of the above book) so she can tell you more about it:

Dear Homeschool Parent:

What exciting events are going on in your community this summer? An annual festival? A special family concert? A yearly parade?

MeetMeAtTheCorner.org, the Web site that sends kids on virtual fieldtrips, is hosting the “Summer in My Town” (www.summerinmytowncontest.com) video documentary contest for children ages 7-13. The winner will receive a cash prize of $250.00 plus a special airing of their video on the Web site this fall. The contest deadline is August 31, 2008.

Complete information on how to make a video documentary, including step-by-step instructions on creating storyboards and voiceovers, as well as submission guidelines, rules and forms can be found at www.meetmeatthecorner.org.

Will you help us get the word out by passing this announcement along to other homeschool families?

I visited Donna’s site and my kids are pumped up about doing this project. I hope we can fit some time in for this before the summer is gone!

Other than Donna’s cool field trip site, I ran across some other neat links this week and in the recent surfing past… hope you enjoy them!

Tuesday July 1st, 2008 Weblinks:

Have a great week!

Love in Him,

Sprittibee

thanks Heather! Nice to know I’m causing someone to need Depends.

Loved that link for the producer book. As much as I’d like to do the documentary, the baby keeps me from going a whole lot. But I’ve got some budding filmmakers and definitely want to check out that book.

As far as A Holy Experience goes, I hardly ever read her posts without crying. It’s a good cry.
